Sculpture made with traditional methods for the social work of Caja Laboral on the occasion of its 65th anniversary, the body made of beech wood and the base of oak wood, the finish of the body is based on beeswax and that of the base with bitumen of Judea and beeswax.

  • The entire structure of the sculpture was made by Maderas Susaeta
  • The main structure of the sculpture is made up of pre-machined and glued beech planks, with dowels to give the structure even more solidity.
  • The surface of the anagrams is 3 cm thicker on each side of the sculpture, giving it more presence and importance in the work; these will be surrounded by a stainless steel plate.
  • The base, also obtained through the same gluing and doweling process, is composed of oak beams, with a mitered corner where the slogan that the social work wants to convey in both languages ​​will be placed.
  • On a base of the same material, creating a void inside, which allows the wood to breathe.

Abstract sculpture in hierarchical perspective with integrated figurative elements.

Elements of the work:

  • Circular anagrams surrounded by stainless steel plates; this set alludes to the unbreakable union of the labor fund with its social work, each anagram protrudes 3 cm more from the surface of the sculpture, thus giving them more presence in the sculpture
  • The main body of the sculpture consists of a perforated structure, each hole representing the time spent on each action of the social work, carved in beech wood, a noble and semi-hard wood, representing the ephemeral nature of time.
  • The base of the sculpture bears the slogan that the sculpture aims to convey about the social work; carved in both languages, thus reflecting the cultural diversity of the Basque Country, it is made of oak, a hardwood, noble and durable, representing how deeply rooted this message is in the social work.
    The textured base features markings that represent the impact of the various actions of the social work on society.
